MUAY THAI

Train real Muay Thai in a structured environment that focuses on developing technique, timing and fight awareness over time. Sessions combine pad work, partner drills and controlled sparring to build confidence, conditioning and practical striking ability.

MUAY THAI
BEGINNERS

At the start of class, one of our trainers will cover the muay thai stance, guard, basic punches, kicks and pad holding to understand basic techniques.

 

You don’t have to be fit to begin, this class is designed to ease you into training. The emphasis is on teaching you the correct, basic techniques, while building your fitness at a steady rate. You are encouraged to push yourself as your fitness improves.

 

Every class is different but each one will involve skipping and warm-up, stretching and strengthening, technique work and pad work using boxing focus pads and the kick shield.

 

There is no sparring or heavy contact in the beginners class. You are learning and practicing the techniques in a safe environment while getting a great workout!

There is dedicated beginner sparring and clinch class at 7:30pm - 8:00pm Mon & Wed.

MUAY THAI
INTERMEDIATES

For those that have been training and are comfortable with the techniques and holding pads but want to advance their techniques, this is the class for you. This class incorporates the use of all pads (focus mitts, kick shield and thai pads), sparring and grappling. Darren and the instructors have a wealth of knowledge to help you improve your technique and fitness

MUAY THAI
ADVANCED/FIGHTERS

When you have a solid skill base, after an assessment you can progress to the advanced class. This is also the class for fighters. There is a strong focus on fitness here with plenty of pad work, bag work, sparring and grappling. There is a degree of contact in the class to enable realistic defence and offence to be practiced.

 

There is never any pressure to compete at Riddlers Gym. This is decided completely by you, after discussion with Darren and after the appropriate steps are taken to prepare for the challenge.

The Mixed Level Muay Thai classes bring together all experience levels in a structured training environment. Sessions focus on developing technique, timing, and conditioning through a combination of pad work, drills, and controlled sparring. Beginners can learn alongside more experienced members, while advanced students continue to refine their skills under coach guidance.

Riddlers Gym’s Muay Thai HIIT classes are designed to push your conditioning while incorporating striking-based movements. Sessions combine pad work, bag work, and high-intensity intervals to improve endurance, power, and overall fitness. This class is ideal for those looking to build conditioning in a fast-paced environment while still developing practical Muay Thai skills.
